Long weekend
 

I live in Barcelona and want to take a long weekend to somewhere NEW, somewhere I have not been, at the end of May. looking for suggestions. The cheaper, the better. I like places that are unique and different. I like the outdoors, countrysides, and history. Here is a list of a few places I am considering. Suggestions? Thoughts?

Yes, Ireland in June, but looking for somewhere for May!

My brother raves about Bulgaria and how cheap it is.
He is going again in September.
I haven't been so can't give a personal recommendation.

How about England? It's beautiful in the spring. Croatia? the Baltic countries?
