long-term home rental in Ireland

My husband and I are beginning to consider the possibility of a one-year rental in Ireland. I've done a preliminary search but so far am only turning up short-term holiday rentals, although I did look at the rentals page of the Irish Times. If anyone has experience doing a long-term rental and suggestions of how to proceed, please let me know. Thanks!

try www.daft.ie - it's a good site for looking for places to rent.

Thanks for this lead. Does anyone else have any experience doing a long-term rental in Ireland or elsewhere? Websites where sublets might be posted?

I have a friend (American) who has a lovely cottage near Westport who might consider a long-term rental. If you want to email me at [email protected], I could put you in touch with him.
