long distance calling
isn't there a prefix phone code to use for cheap long distance calling--even overseas? Please tell me the company it's with and/or the code. 5 or 6 numbers, I think. Thanks. |
Simply use Ira's technique
Dial 1016868 first, then the phone #. |
Thanks for the code. Now, how do I find out the various costs, say from US to Rome and from US to Paris?
Again, t.u. |

I suggest investigating Speedy Dial.
I get very good rates when calling land lines. Calling mobile phones is more expensive regardless of how you do it. With Speedy Dial I have a toll free access number and a passcode. Then I dial my number. No entangling alliances or connect charges. The card is prepaid, which some people don't like. In that respect it is like any ATT prepaid card or other domestic carrier. |
Before using any 1010 number make sure it works in your state. Otherwise you'll end up paying hefty long distance charges. It happened to a friend who didn't check first.

J62 and esm--thanks for the info. I checked the website and will call them tomorrow for more details just to be sure is ok to use here in TX.
bob_brown --is this Speedy Dial for Texans too? |
