LondonToo Hot in June?

Would a trip in June to London then out into the country side be too hot in June? Better in May?

My son was in London in June and he wore a jacket, so I think you might have to guess it could be wet or hot or cold or just right

I can't imagine London being hot in June. We have visited then and the temperature is usually very comfortable or cool but never hot. Of course, being from Oklahoma, the temperature in any part of England is never what I would consider hot (greater than 95F).

I froze when I was there last year in early July. Constant drizzle and temperatures in the low 60's

London is never predictably hot any time of the year. There are some hot spells (30C or 80F) but these are not common.

Hiroshi remarked,
>London is never predictably hot any time of the year. There are some hot spells (30C or 80F) but these are not common.<

Only when I visit.

england is quite cool all the time...they have had a few hot summers the last few years but that is very unusual.....april-the end of june would be fabulous as are sept-nov....i guess it depends on what you are used to where you live....go in june although may is slightly cheaper for airfares usually..

I seem to recall they had a heatwave during Wimbledon last year??? But extremely hot weather would definitely be far less likely than not. If lucky, you will have some mild pleasant days. I have visited twice in late May and experienced cool-cold weather. Obviously, this more likely the earlier you go.

My wife and I were there last year at the end of May thru first week of June. I wore a coat everyday. Both in the countryside (Cotswolds) and in London.

Every year will be different but I wouldn't worry too much about excessive heat.
I was there (in London) in late June several years ago. One day the temp hit a very unusual 90F, and we were sweltering in our non-a/c hotel room.
The rest of the time it varied between low 70s, and one day in the 60s with rain that felt quite chilly.
I would always suggest bringing a light jacket.

I thought I answered this exact same post in the last day or two, but don't see my answer, so maybe this was a repeat question.

A few years ago we went to the UK for three weeks -- last two weeks of May and first week of June. We were worried that it might still be too cold for us Floridians in May, but those first two weeks were very warm and sunny. Then June 1st came and it turned very cold -- we thought we'd freeze. So the answer is, you just never know!
