London's Stansted Airport

Hello,
I was thinking about taking a day trip from Northern Italy to London. Ryan Air has flights that arrive at London's Stansted airport. How far is this airport from the City Center? Is it hard to get to? Is there public transportation? (i.e. a train , or bus service?)

Thanks

The Stansted Express will let you off at Liverpool Street Station. From there you can take the tube where you want to go:

A daytrip to London from northern Italy sounds very hectic. If you have any delays leaving, which is not uncommon, much of your day will be lost.

Hi!
I too looked at Ryanair, but in my case to go from Firenze to London. Apparently, Stanstead is at least 90 minutes outside of London proper (assuming there is no traffic). I found it worth my while to pay a bit more and land at Gatwick -- at least it is serviced by a frequent train.
Best of luck!

Stansted has a regular train service every 15 minutes in each direction. It takes 45-50 minutes journey time into Liverpool Street station. So no it is not hard to get to.

Whether that nmakes it worthwhile for a day trip is a bit debatable.
