Londonderry area B&B
I'm heading to Claudy, Northern Ireland in two weeks and I've had no luck finding a B&B in the area. It's pretty close to Londonderry, so perhaps someone has a recommendation? I'm traveling with my husband and my 86-year old father. Dad needs to be on a ground floor, so at least one room has to be on that level.
Any suggestions? Thanks! |
Topping for myself!

I am from N Ireland, but I am not familiar with Londonderry at all. I did a quick google though on Londonderry accommodation, and came up with the following website, which seems pretty good to me: http://www.touristnetuk.com/Ni/LONDO...ondonderry.htm I hope it helps, but if not at least it's topping your thread! If you need any help in any other areas of N Ireland, I would love to help. Enjoy your trip. Angela PS Its getting cold over here so plenty of warm clothes! |
Thanks, Angela!
Maybe you can clear up some confusion for me. I'm going to this area to visit roots. Relatives over there are telling me to go to "Claudy, near Glenarm, Antrim." Claudy is near Londonderry, which is in Derry, not Antrim. Do you know where Glenarm is? I can't find it. Thanks! |
Hmmmm, I'm kind of confused myself!!! Its not an area I'm 100% familiar with. But my understanding is that Glenarm is in Antrim and Claudy is in Londonderry. I have enclosed 2 maps which verify this, hope it helps!!
http://www.rootsweb.com/~nirldy/ http://www.antrim.net/glenarm/how_to_get_here.htm You might be safer phoning your relatives for clarification. Angela |
