London - which one of these four hotels?
 

Good morning.

I need your advice on the best hotel from the following four:

Radisson Edwardian Grafton
Radisson Edwardian Kenilworth
Radisson Edwardian Marlborough
Hilton London Euston

Which one is better located? Which one is in the midst of night life and entertainment? Which one has the most attractions within walking distance?

These four properties have comparable prices on londontown.com during our stay in London, and I need help making a pick.

By the way, I have found that contacting hotels directly gets me the same rates (in one case, better) that going through londontown

The Marlborough and the Kenilworth are on opposite corners at the intersection of Great Russell Street and Bloomsbury Street.
Both hotels are in walking distance of all the restaurants, clubs, and theaters that Covent Garden & Soho have to offer. They are a 2 minute walk from the British Museum.
I have only been in their lobbies and bars so I can't comment on the rooms. I do know that each hotel has been updated fairly recently.

My husband was returning home from a business trip to Sweden a few years ago and found he had time to fit in a weekend in London.
He'd wanted to be near the British Museum but the Bloomsbury hotel we usually stay at was full.
He had intended to try either the Marlborough or the Kenilworth as an alternative to our usual hotel , but his Exec Admin accidentally booked him into the Grafton.
As I recall, he found no real fault with the hotel other than it wasn't in spitting distance of the British Museum.

Lastminute.com usually has good deals on Radisson Edwardian hotels as well - quite often they are featured as special offer mystery hotels - where you don't know where you are staying until you book - but you can quite easily work out which is which from the descriptions and photos. Of these I would opt for the Kenilworth which is on the next corner from the British Museum - it's across the road from the Marlborough but has AC - the Marlborough doesn't. The Grafton is located at the top end of Tottenham Court Road - it does have an underground station next door - but is further away from places of interest.

The Hilton Euston has recently been taken over by Hilton (former Euston Plaza) and I believe is fine, only been there for conferences, but again the location although close to Euston/Kings Cross stations isn't close to much else of interest.

Marlborough and Kenilworth are my choices then.

Years ago, on our first stay in London, a friend recommended the Kenilworth. At the time it was a classic old-fashioned hotel badly in need of refurbishment, but it was quite comfortable. Our room was fairly large and quiet, and if the rooms have been renovated since our day (they must have been!) the hotel should be quite pleasant.
