London Weekly Apartment

In attempt to keep costs down & get a more feeling of living in the city, I am looking to rent a studio apartment for a week in London.

The area doesn't really matter -- but something safe and relatively central.

Anyone have any good ideas/sources?

I will continue to search these forums.

Thanks!

Just put London flats in the search box at the top of this forum & you'll get lots of posts about them.

Lots of people recommend Scala House, I like London Guest Suites, others use VRBO (vacation rentals by owners.) All are easily found by Google.

VRBO looks very helpful -- thanks.

If anyone has particular experience with any properties, please let me know.

Again -- I am not looking for anything large or fancy.

London Serviced Apartments also have a good selection. I've used them and stayed at The Mansions in Earls Court!!!
Studios to 4 bedrooms!!!

We have stayed in The Mansions on Earls Court and were very pleased with them.

Scala House does not have studio apartments. You might check out Price Apartments, they have many that they represent (we have dealt with Nick Price in the past and had no problems).

Also - Citidine Apts. have studios. It all depends on your budget tho.

We had a good experience renting through E & E Apartments:

We have booked through barclayweb.com twice. They have a variety of areas and prices.

I second E&E apartments that G Hopper linked. very reasonably priced and in a good part of town. But when are you traveling? As I understand it E&E are retiring and closing up as of next April. But if your trip is before then - I'd contact them for sure.

There's a distinction between listing sites and agencies. Listing sites are a convenience for the owner. The apartments are not inspected or even their existence confirmed. Often owners are allowed to screen the reviews and reject ones they don't like. VRBO, airbnb, and Homeaway are listing sites. Caveat emptor.

Whereas listing agencies inspect their properties and guarantee them. If a problem arises, like a plumbing breakdown, the agency will try to find you another place. I will pay a bit more for a well-reviewed agency, for the peace of mind.

weird -- my first post (the one w/ the typo) didn't appear to 'take' so I re-posted and now both show up :?

Anyway . . . it IS 9 years old . . . .
