london waterloo to mayfair
Hi,
Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm new to all of this and I need some help!
I'm going to be taking the Eurostar from Paris to London and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the best way to get from Waterloo Station to our hotel in Mayfair. Should we take a different train from Waterloo? Or a cab? Or are there other options? Thank you so much for your help!
Jessica

Assuming you also have some luggage with you and unless you are on the lowest of budgets, I strongly suggest you just take a taxi. It's by far the easiest and the only way to deliver you right to your door. It will not cost much. I'm guessing 10 pounds at the very most???

We took cabs and it is not expensive at all.

If Jessica can afford to stay in Mayfair, I don't think she is travelling on a tight budget! Taxi is the best way to go, but if you want to check public transportation, we would need to know where in Mayfair you are staying -- there are 6 tube stops that could be considered to serve Mayfair.

Depending on exactly which hotel (ron is right), you may be very close to Green Park tube - Jubilee Line from Waterloo will get you to Green Park in a few minutes as only 2 stops.

If you are going to an upmarket hotel in Mayfair, I think you will be better off getting delivered to the door by taxi than humping your bags from the tube station. Remember to tip the doorman.
