London travelcard
I just got the Fodors City pack of London, and it says that you can't use the london travelcard until after 9:30 am. This isn't true right?
|
I haven't been to London for a couple of years, but yes, this is true. I think they don't want all the tourists using the transit system til after the morning rush hour (9:30). By the time we had our breakfast, this worked out well for us. The travelcard is well worth it.
Have fun.

It's again the stupidity of people who don't know what they are talking about...

The 7 day passes are good 24/7 from the first day of validity through the 7th day of validity. Period end of discussion. Doesn't matter if it's the overpriced visitor's travelcard or the more sensible 7 day passes available in London.

The 3 & 4 day visitor's travelcard are also good 24/7.

Now the one day travelcards at the lower rate (£4.10 for zones 1 & 2) are only good after 9:30 on weekdays. If you pay £1.20 you can get a pass good from the opening of the underground till its close....that one day weekday travelcard is the only one with a 9:30 AM restriction so if anybody says otherwise, they just don't know what they are talking about.

XXX, Calm down.....Kodi's information was correct, just not as comprehensive as what you offered. There is absolutely no reason to be so nasty.
|
I only get nasty when people write stupid things that are not true as was the original posting.....
|
And, I think xxx means for 1.20 MORE you can get a pass valid all day. (ie 5.30 GBP rather than 4.10)
|
Sheesh....xxx. I really don't think we are all stupid. Rachel didn't specify which travelcard she was interested in...and I assumed it was the one day card.
Thanks 'what's up' for coming to our defense!
Good luck Rachel.

I think xxx has been on the computer answering too many questions for too long Get a life or better yet go travelling You don't have to do this you know.
