london transportation question

We are a family of 4: 2 adults, a 14yr old and a 10 yr old staying in london for 5 days total and the transportation options seem overwhelming and confusing. Can someone provide guidance on what type of ticketing to buy, please? We will not be leaving london for any excursions except possibly to greenwich. Thanks.

I rather thought the consensus on your previous thread:

was 7 day travelcards for zones 1 and 2 for the adults. If the 10 year old is travelling only with you, that's free, and they don't need any ID or ticket. They would need to get a photo ID card if they're going to travel without you.

The 14 year old can get an offpeak day travelcard for £1 if they're with you, or if you're likely to start travelling before 0930, get them a 7 day travelcard. But either way, bring a photobooth picture for the photocard they'll need to get the best rates.

OK I might be off here but are you for real because your children's ages keep changing on your various threads?

Last time I checked Greenwich was in London - indeed it was in zone 2 so the 7 day, yada, yada would work for that as well

If the younger one is indeed 11, then the same applies as for the 14-year old (or is she 15?.

Photo cards have to be requested in advance. You ask for an application online, they mail you the form, then you return the form along with a photo, tell them when you are going to pick it up and from which station. It costs 5 pounds to process the photo card.

So, you'll have to decide whether or not you'll need to travel at peak times. If you can wait until after 9:30, it will be a lot easier and cheaper.
