London Transport

Hi everyone,
Would you know the best way to get to South Hampton port from central London?

Thanks!

Train from Waterloo station to Southampton, then taxi to whichever cruise terminal (there are several so you need to know which one you are using)

And an even better way is for someone to pick you up and take you directly your ship and it is easy to arrange.

>>And an even better way is for someone to pick you up and take you directly your ship and it is easy to arrange.<< . . . for more £££

I was thinking of a car service. Do you know of a reliable one? But not too crazy pricey?
Does Uber work there?

Uber would cost a fortune - you are talking about 85 miles.

What do you mean by ' not too crazy pricey? ' . . . if £115 is OK w/ you Taxi Southampton to/from Central London From £110 | Reliable Service

Bought in advance, the train would cost about £10 pp plus the taxis at either end.

I saw one way prices for 150 one way. Thought maybe there is something cheaper other than the train.
but it looks like train is the best option.
Thanks for your replies!

IMO the best and easiest is to take a National Rail bus from Victoria Coach Station directly to the Southampton Bus terminal and then it is a Taxi or Lyft/Uber (if they have them ) to the port.
An advance ticket is about £10 and another 3 to reserve a seat.

Direct trains take 2.5 hours Victoria to Southampton and can be really cheap if you book early enough to nab seriously discounted tickets at National Rail Enquiries - Official source for UK train times and timetables so like janis and lina say outside or a car transfer - same price as bus but more comfy - www.seat61.com has loads of helpful into on doing that.

Trains take less than 1.5 hours from Waterloo
