London Trains Offers

Some of you might already know this but this website has now a new url: http://www.escapebytrain.co.uk/erbt/...t.asp?dir=home and there are many 2 for 1 offers for attractions like Warwick, Tower of London. For anybody who has used these vouchers this summer, do you know what qualifies as train tickets? Can I use my tube passes?

Thanks

Hi Jand-
I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but I saw an earlier post by you inquiring about lodging in Soho and I wanted to ask you about it. My husband and I and 3 small children will be traveling to London in Sept. and I think we're looking at the same apartment you were asking about on Brewer St.(VRBO #20753?). Can I ask if you decided to rent the apartment? I'm still not sure of the area for small children, but love the location. I also figure they've probably seen worse in Times Square. Thanks for your help!

Tube passes don't count.
Train tickets would be Gatwick Express, South Central Trains, probably the Heathrow Express, and maybe a few others. It should be listed on the site.

WillTravel, thanks for the info. If Gatwick Express counts, I'd be in good shape.
cheryl, I decided against the Soho apt because of the area. I have instead booked a family room in Holiday Inn, Mayfair. If your children are very small, it might not matter much. But my son is 9 and I did not want to answer uncomfortable questions!

Just a thought jand, if you are taking the train from London to Warwick Castle, I think the combined rail and admission to Warwick Castle is L28.40, a cheap day return train ticket is L22, a difference of L6.40. Full price admission is L13.50 or L14.50 (peak), 1/2 of which is more than L6.40 in either case. I'm hoping that the ticket to the castle is an actual ticket and not something you have to stand in line for.

There's also a Shakespeare Country Explorer ticket if you want to go into Warwick and out of Stratford, either over 1 day or 3 days, something I considered.

The options for discounts in London is dizzying......

Thanks jand. I have an 8 yr old who asks alot of questions so I think I'll skip it as well. Thanks for your help.
