London to Venice and Verona & back to US

Will be traveling from London at the end of February and will be spending a few days in Verona and a few days in Venice. Any suggestions as to the best (and hopefully) least expensive way to do this? I am thinking of flying from London to Verona, train from Verona to Venice and then back to US - Phila. Am not sure which airports to fly in and out of or whether I should reverse it and come into Venice and then to Verona and then to US. Would love any advice as I am open to any airports.
Thanks!

Thanks, I have checked that site, but am not sure based on distances from various airports to the Verona and Venice. Am not clear whether flying into the airports that the low cost airlines use is more of a hassle and the transportation from them to the cities makes it that much more expensive.

Hi Fami - All the airports have a convenient shuttle bus service into town - so the deciding factor will usually be airfare.

If you're flying directly back to the States it will probably be better for you to end in Venice and fly out from there.

You could fly into Verona ( German Wings) or Brescia (Ryanair) from London.

Hope this helps ...

www.harefares.com gives airport distances from the city center, and lets you choose multiple origin and destination airports, returning all the cheap airlines that fly those routes. I have found it super helpful when trying to narrow down which airlines to look at.

Thanks so much for all that great info.! At this point, it looks like the least expensive flight into Venice from London, departs Gatwick at 6:45 a.m. Any suggestions as to the best way to get there at that early hour - I'm assuming and hour or more ahead? Will be coming from Kensington.
