London to Paris: worth a quick day trip?

Was in London 2 years ago and had the same decision to make as you have now. Answer: DO IT! Take the tour route unless you've been there before.(takes all the travel hassle off your hands) But I must issue you a warning: It will wet your appetite to go back and see more! Go and enjoy!

I vote with the "do it" crowd. I just did it the first week of June. Took Eurostar at 7 something a.m. from London, walked along the Champs Ellesyee, had lunch at an outdoor cafe, walked along the Seine to the Eiffel Tower, taxied back to the train station and back to London on the 6 something train. Cost $190 U.S. roundtrip, purchased in advanced.
Loved it.

Well, I think we'll be spending the day in Paris. A few of you suggested tour groups, which I normally avoid, but given our limited time it may not be a bad idea. I noticed someone used Britain Shrinkers-are there any other companies out there? How would I get in touch with Britain Shrinkers?
