London to Paris to Rome- Need transportation advice

Never been to Europe before. Could sure use some advice on how to get around. 3 major cities I would like to hit include London, Paris, Rome. I've got 14-15 days during the last 2 weeks of December. Should I fly to each of these cities or take the Eurorail? Any suggestions? About how much would either of these options cost me?

Thanks!

Have you purchased your tickets yet? Will you be flying into London and out of Rome?

You could easily spend a few days in London, take the channel tunnel train to Paris for 4 or 5 days then begin your decent into Italy. You could make a stop or 2 on your way to Rome (all via the train) and fly home after 4 days or so in Rome.

I would buy your plane ticket into London and out of Rome ("open jaw").

I would take the train from London to Paris.

I would either fly or take the train to Rome.
