London to Paris - all you can eat

Hi there! I have 2 questions for people who know a lot about Europe (specially London):
1) What is the cheapest way to go from London to Paris (and come back, of course)
2) Is there any "all you can eat" restaurant in London?

Thank you, people.
Peace!!!

1. Eurolines bus, most of the time. Personally, I'd say the saving over the Eurostar booked 3 months prior, or Easyjet, means it makes sense only for the committed masochist.

2. Lots of £5 or so per head Chinese places around Leicester Square/Chinatown. The truly terrific £4.50/head vegan Indian Veg Bhel Poori House in Chapel Market, N1 (usually there's a similarly priced competitor or two as well, serving non-vegan vegetarian). The (in my experience thoroughly mediocre, and by the standards of the authentic Indian and Chinese competition, pricey at £9/head lunch, £14 supper) Kitchin in Caledonia St (NOT Caledonian Rd), near Kings Cross

1. It's actually the same bus (but well spotted). Just a different booking system, and less flexible terms.

Still broadly comparable, in potential for suffering a DVT, with an economy class flight from London to California - only without the gourmet food, ample leg room and the opportunities for leisurely, leg stretching, strolls.

Forget cheakp and ake Eurostar unless you like spending time on buses.2 hours and you are in Paris notsitting on a bus looking at uninteresting scenery. Book 90 days out and the fares are not that much. I paid 65 dollars round trip by bookin very early

I fail to understand the benefit of "all you can eat buffets" - awful steam table food that has been sitting for a couple of hours versus a freshly prepared meal - unless you have several teenage boys in tow (that you need to buy 2 or 3 dinners for every day).

Is the idea that you gorge yourself to vomiting stage to avoid paying for the next meal?

There's a couple of all you-can-eat lunch places on Camden High Street in the market area between Camden Town and Chalk Farm tube stations. IIRC there's a pan-Asian one, and a vegetarian one. They're in the neighbourhood of £5- £7 per person. They have huge signs in the windows so you can't miss them. They always looked packed full of people. Haven't eaten at any of them so I can't comment on the quality of the food.

When I want to stuff myself, I buy everything I need at the supermarket or deli or takeaway and stuff myself in the hotel room.

This has been a few years but we had an "All you care to eat" [please note the difference in wording!] at the Cumberland Hotel. You'll need to look into this to double check whether this info is still current!
