London to Brussels to Amsterdam
 

We are traveling for 1 week, starting in London for 3 nights, 2 in Brussels, and 2 in Amsterdam. Some questions for planning:
1) What train do we take from London to Brussels? Is there a train website?
2) How long is the train ride?
3) What are the must see sights for 2 days in Brussels?
4) Hotel recommendation that is not too far from train station, with walkable restaurants and bars.
5) Train to get to Amsterdam?

From Brussels to Amsterdam, you can take the more expensive Thalys www.thalys.com, or you can take Intercity trains from Brussels to Amsterdam.

3 cities in 1 week? You'll be spending most of your time on trains instead of sightseeing.

London to Brussels to Amsterdam requires about five hours on trains, or about half a day, not most of a week.

True, but when you add in the time to check in/ check out of hotels, time to travel to/from train stations, the OP essentially has lost a full day (2 half days) out of his/her 7-day vacation.

We can highly recommend the Thalys from London to Brussels and then on to Amsterdam. You will leave London from St. Pancreas station and arrive at Brussels-Midi. When departing Brussels-Midi for Amsterdam you can arrive at Schipol Airport or the City Center.

We recommend choosing a hotel near the Grand Place in Brussels ( http://www.brussels-belgium-travel-g...lacehotel.html ) where you will be close to Central Station (including the metro) and some of the main Brussels attractions which include the Grand Place, Mannekin Pis, museums, bars, restaurants and plenty of Chocolate shops.

We recommend booking a Brussels Tour ( http://www.brussels-belgium-travel-g...selstour.html_ ) - either by bus, walk or special tour such as beer or chocolate.

The trains from London to Brussels are Eurostar, not Thalys. The Station in London is St Pancras, not "Pancreas".
From Brussels to Amsterdam, there are intercity trains every hour; they take slightly longer than Thalys, but are more frequent and cheaper.

I don't think you'd need to pay for a tour to see Brussels. When you arrive at Brussels-Midi just grab a map, walk out to Grand Place (Grote Markt in dutch), and from there you can find all the touristy sights and sounds.

It's a walkable city, don't rent a car unless if you want extra pain.
