London Theatre Review Websites
Which are the best websites to use to try and decide which plays to see in London? I am interested in what will be playing mid-June. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Can I suggest you have a look at the theatre columns of the various London broadsheet newspapers (excluding The Times which requires payment to access such pages).
Try: http://enjoyment.independent.co.uk/theatre/ http://www.guardian.co.uk/arts/reviews/theatre/ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main...p;targetRule=2 Hope this is helpful. |
whatsonstage.com not only has reviews they have lots of information on what is going on in London as well as the rest of the UK. You can also sign up for their free e-mail which they send every Tuesday keeping you updated on wht is going on in the theatre. They also from time to time will have deals such as dinner and a play for 25 GBP.
theatremonkey.com is another good site. They will even recommend the best seats in the theatre. |
The London Theatre Guide Online (http://www.londontheatre.co.uk/index.shtml) often has links to the London newspaper reviews at the bottom of the page on which they give their own review of a show. (This actually isn't all that different from mignonette's suggestion that you look at the newspaper reviews, but since the links are all in one place on the London Theatre Guide's site, going there first might save you a little bit of hunting around.)

I like www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk. You can even check out what is on the half price TKTS booth.

Thank you all for your wonderful help!

I second the recommendation of theatremonkey.com. I used it before my recent trip to London and thought it was very helpful.
