London street vendors..........

A friend and I are heading to London in three weeks for a long weekend. While in Paris last year, we purchased some inexpensive, but nice acrylic/oil paintings of local scenery, along the Seine River.

Anyone know a place to buy this same kind of thing in London? Would Camden Market or Portobello Road have anything like this? The canvas paintings are great to roll up and pack in your luggage. Once home, I have my local art gallery-type person, frame the canvas for me. It makes a great souvenior.

Where should we look?

I've seen rows of sidewalk artists or those who purport themselves to be such lining Piccadilly Street by Green Park

and on the north side of Hyde Park from Marble Arch on.

I saw some by the north side of Holland Park, near Hollan Park tube station.

On Sundays there are plenty of "artists" displaying their wares along the Bayswater Road.

Thanks everyone for the info! We come home on Sunday, so I'm limited to Friday and Saturday. I'll check out your locations.

There were a bunch of them outside the Tower of London. My brother bought a really cool picture from one of them.
