London Stanstead airport

I'm am flying into this airport on Friday and would like to know if there is a tube available?

Nope; Stansted airport is about 50 km north of central London. Travel is by Stansted Express train, see www.qjump.co.uk for schedule and fares.

Yvette - I flew from Berlin to London (Stanstead) last week. You can take the Stanstead Express into London's Liverpool Station for 13 pounds and then transfer to the tube which will take you anywhere in London.

I don't know what time you'll arrive, but just a warning that the Stansted Express stops running sometime between midnight and 12:30 am (can't remember exactly). If you're wanting to travel from Stansted into London after that time, you'll have to take a bus and it takes forever to arrive at your destination!

Train is the best way to go. If you are planning on returning to Stansted by train, get a return ticket which should work out cheaper than two singles.
Also, on Sundays there is no service, and trains are being replaced by coaches.
If you need to use the Tube while you are there, consider getting a day ticket for the central zone when you buy your train ticket. If you are there for a week, then take a passport photo and get a weekly pass, good for all tubes, buses and trains within a certain zone (you decide) from about £16.
