London Soccer tickets-Boxing Day & Dec 28 how difficult to get??
 

Two soccer crazed boys and parents looking to take in two matches on Dec 26 & 28th in London. Schedule posted below. Don't want to buy licenses and realize we won't probably get Man U or Arsenal tix for home games-or could we somehow? Is it possible there's more availability on Boxing Day, etc? Are many tix available on game day, how crazy are scalpers prices?
Would best approach be trying to catch Arsenal, Man U, etc on the road? Buy tix directly from away team (West Ham, etc) website?
Any sercrets to get tix for Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal at home. Thanks in advance

The only one of the six matches that are actually in London you would have any chance of getting tickets to is Crystal Palace v Southampton, four of the others are between London teams so demand is high and the remaining one is Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United where demand is going to be extremely high.

So? What's the point?

It's against the law in New York. Good luck getting face-value seats to concerts at MSG where the ticket agents reserve seats for the resellers.

Plus, touting by definition is only illegal by UNAUTHORIZED sellers. If a ticket reseller is "authorized" by the team, and resells at a premium, this is ok. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1994/33/section/166

Touting is against the law, anyone using touts? well I hope you buy dulpicate tickets or forged.

Boxing Day is the busiest day of the football season, most grounds will be sold out. You may get tickets at the Palace game, other than that look at expensive packages or non PL games.

There really aren't any secrets to buying Xmas tickets for the major London clubs. You buy an overpriced package from the website or risk hundreds (of pounds) on illegal sales you have no protection on.

You might do better with Palace vs Southampton: but if it's football (what's this "soccer" thing? Can't you speak English?) the children are interested in, you'll do far better looking for tickets at Charlton, Leyton Orient, Fulham (on Dec 29)or Milwall.

Actually, there is no need to resort to "hospitality" tickets suggested by flanner (although he is right on "soccer" better get used to "football" on this side of the Atlantic).

You just have to scan the home clubs' websites on a regular base to learn about the tickets' going on general sale dates. You will be able to get regular price tickets (Premier League games are expensive) for many games this way.

Actually, West Ham United have already started selling tickets for their game against Arsenal. There are still quite a number around. GO TO THEIR WEBSITE (www.whufc.com) IMMEDIATELY AND PURCHASE THOSE TICKETS.

You daft English created the word "soccer" to differentiate asSOCiation football from Rugby football. It's your own bloody phrase.

Southampton at home would normally be OK (90 minutes from London to Stadium) but against Chelsea I doubt you'd have a chance.

I'd second Flanner's recommendation to look at lower league London clubs - you'll still get decent football and a good atmosphere - personally, I'd avoid Millwall as despite years of hard work by the club, their fans still are more prone than most to violence.

Millwall is infamous for the high [rhymes with bass coal] factor.

Daggenham & Redbridge (Daggers), or AFC Wombledon would be my choices.

Both are League Two, but you'll be guaranteed proper footie, friendly folk, and both have welcoming clubhouses pre and post-match.
