London - Sky Garden
I'll be in London a couple of days next week and have reserved an early breakfast time (9:30 a.m.) for the Sky Pod Bar. In their confirmation, they say, "Please note that Sky Garden is a naturally-ventilated space, therefore guests are encouraged to wear appropriately warm clothing on colder days." Not sure what "naturally ventilated" means. Hope we won't be needing our LLBean parkas!

Its not open air as such - but it is not heated -- if it is cold outside it will be cold inside. (the wait staff wear wooly scarves) |
Thanks janisj. We will be dressed for being outdoors, so should be OK. Hoping the weather forecast holds for the low 60s and low probability of rain. If it holds, it will be a big improvement over our recent temperatures here in Maine. I was last in London in 1995 and am really looking forward a revisit.

https://www.google.com/search?q=lond...hrome&ie=UTF-8 For other folks who like me may not have been in London since Queen Victoria's times and wonder what the heck the Sky Garden is - pretty incredible. Put it on my wish list for London visits in next lifetime! |
PQ - since you've never been to sky garden, why did you think it vital you post about something with which you have NO experience !???! We do know you are expert at google. Sky Garden, not so much.
( I HAVE been - more than once) |
Again janis Iposted because many like me who have not been to London may be interested - is there something wrong with that? Though others going to London could benefit. What's the problem with that? Geeze!
Cheers! |
Because you are feverishly compulsive about responding to things you know nothing recent about,

We went back in November when outside temps were in the mid-40s and I don't remember being at all cold inside. There is a terrace you can walk out on. We had reservations at 9am, the sun was shining strong--bummer for photos but it did warm up the place near the windows.

That is the point really -- if the sun is not out there is no radiant heating. |
