London sites - skipping the queue?

Is there value - skipping long ticket office queues - in purchasing tickets to certain London sites in advance (on-line). I am thinking of the Eye and Tower in particular.

Thanks,

No to the Eye -- because it is VERY weather dependent. You can ring up or book on line the morning of when you know what the weather is.

As for the Tower - no IF you want to use a Days Out 2for1 discount voucher - if you pre-purchase you'll pay full price. There is a tiny discount buying on line but you'll save £22 per couple if you use the 2for1's.

Many sites are free without queues, the Tower either get there early or if you want the Keys then you have to book (no queue).
