London Shopping

I have to buy some things in two shops : M&S and Ecco Shoes. For what I know (I've searched their websites) they are very close to each other at Oxford Street and also at Kensington High Street. My question is ..which of the two streets is more interesting or comfortable for a person who doesn't like shopping at all ? :) I'd like to know your opinion , not only for my trip but as a general question..which zone is better ?

We always stay just off Kensington High Street, so I'm a bit prejudice, but I prefer it over Oxford Street. There are many of the same shops, but a lot less crowds. Oxford Street can be unbelievably busy.

For a look at the shops along both streets, check out www.streetsensation.co.uk

For someone not keen on shopping (and that's me too), Oxford Street is somewhere close to a living hell. On the occasions I have to go along Oxford Street to get somewhere, it's always very busy.

For me, Oxford Street is one part of London I never care to spend any time at all. Any of the other shopping areas are probably more interesting than Oxford Street.

Thanks, Kayb95 :) That's the adress for which I knew the shops are very close, it's a great site !

Where2Travel, that's why I asked. I went to Oxford Street first time I was in London..and hate it ! I just want to do my shopping the fastest way possible..

Kensington High Street won't exactly be deserted but it's not the madhouse crush of Oxford Street. And you can reward yourself at Patisserie Valerie after shopping!
