London Serviced Apartments - Chelsea Cloisters?

Just doing some research - a few people have recommended London Serviced Apartments - just wondering if anyone had good/bad experiences with them. Is this a reputable company?

There website has a really good price on the Chelsea Cloisters, but I noticed that 2 posters had bad comments about Chelsea Cloisters...they apparently overbooked the apartment, and refused to find housing elsewhere for the customer.

I wasn't too sure if they booked directly with Chelsea Cloisters - could it possibly make a difference if I booked with London Serviced Apartments and not with Chelsea Cloisters themselves?

I had a wonderful week's stay at Chelsea Cloisters through London Serviced Apartments. I remember that thread - I had no such problems. But that doesn't mean my experience was typical. Nor does it mean those other experiences were typical.

Do realize the flats at CC are all over the board -- some teensy tiny studios (like you have to close the kitchen door to walk around the bed), some large, beautifully furnished studios, and all sorts of other sizes/quality. Most of the flats are individually owned so decor/size/amenities will vary.

The location is terrific and there is a security desk if you are coming home really late at night. Good restaurants w/i a 2 or 3 minute walk, Harrods is about a 10-12 minute walk, and South Kens tube about 6 or 7 minutes.

Can't help you w/ the overbooking since it didn't happen to me.

Janisj - thanks for the reply. What sort of room did you have? I was thinking about a studio, but was wondering how small it was?

My studio was very small - but I was on my own so it was just fine. I knew it was going to be tiny - but I went for it because I got a terrific rate. £350 for a week. The room had a double bed and a small round table w/ 2 wooden chairs. there was a separate kitchen w/ everything I needed - abut as I said - the kitchen door opened into the bedroom and had to be closed to walk around the bed. The bathroom was fine - actually larger than the kitchen.

I normally think of a studio as a livingroon/sleeping area w/ a kitchen or kitchenette and a full bath. This one was really a bedroom w/ kitchen and bath.

But as I mentioned before, there are all sizes of flats at Chelsea Cloisters. I peeked into some other rooms and some of the studios were nearly twice the size of mine. And there are larger flats too.
