London Pubs?

Will be in London staying at the Marriott county hall @ westminster bridge. What would be a good pub close by, either for dinner or just a brew?

St.Stephens Tavern 10 Bridge Street. Closed for a number of years, recently reopened. Several Prime Ministers have drank there including Churchill.

Good website for pub info - fancyapint.com

That hotel looks beautiful, and I have always wanted to stay there. (Tried a couple of times on Priceline, but never got it.) Please post a report of your stay after you're back; I would very much like to know if the rooms are as nice as the public areas, how the restaurants are, etc. Thanks

abacoroger - You lucky devil you!
We stayed behind the Marriott in that el cheapo hotel Travel Inn(Lodge?).
On the corner of the street that runs in front of the entrance to Travel Inn, could be Belvedere road and Chicheley street, we noticed a very busy modern bar.
We did, however, have a lovely Chinese dinner at the Marriott which cost an arm & a leg.
