London: Portobello Rd: very specific question
I'm trying to identify a shop so I can get in touch with them.
It is one of the first antiques shops you pass when approaching Portobello Road from the Notting Hill Gate tube stop. Its sign might be blue.
The shop carries various kinds of antiques with quite a bit of jewelry in the window. Maybe all costume jewelry, maybe a mix of costume & real.
On a wall in a front room of the shop is a display of architectural moldings, which possibly can be ordered through the shop.
At the back of the shop is a kitchen - the owners allowed me to try on some jewelry there.
I will be so happy if you can identify as I want to phone & see if I can buy some earrings I saw 2 weeks ago.

MelJ thanks - I tried Portobello Road sites but cuold not find something that seeemed to be the hsop I'm looking for.
What I am looking for is the name of the shop.
More info - it is either on Portobello Road or right before the beginning of it. It's on the left-hand side of the street as you approach P Road from the Notting Hill Gate tube.

Elizabeth- I just returned from London yesterday, and I know exactly what shop you are talking about. I do not remember the exact name of the shop, but I do have the Guide to Portobello Market pamphlet at home, and I will check tonight and report back.

Erin and others thanks for help
I found it!! It's called Hirst Antiques
Here is an amazing link for anyone looking for a place on Portobello Road (note main site covers other streets full of stuff as well:
http://www.streetsensation.co.uk/ptbello/pb_intro.htm
(=map of area
then - panorama pictures of every shop & restaurant on the street, with names/phones/descriptions).
