London Pass
All I will be in London for 2 days. I am looking to see if the London Pass makes sense. I am planning to see the Buckingham Palace, Parliament, Kensignton, Globe Theatre, St. Pauls Cathedral, The London Eye, Tower opf London, westminster Abbey. Off course I wont see all of this cause I wont have the time but nowing the tyoe of sites can someone pls recommend a good pass?

Buckingham Palace is only open to the public in August and September, but you can see the changing of the guard for free outside. Many of your sights would not be covered by a Pass - for 2 days you would probably be better off paying for the attractions separately. A 1-day travelcard would be useful for travel by tube and bus after 9.30 am.

Ruth:
I am going to London in September, and just read your post. Is that the whole month of September?? We will be there on the 20th.

B'ham Palace is only open from the first weekend in August to the first weekend in October each year.

Currently, non-UK residents cannot tour Parliament. That may change before your trip - but for the last few months and the foreseeable future the tours have been suspended.

As for whether the London Pass is worth it - there is a huge debate on theis site - do a search and you will find literally hundreds of posts about it. It seems a slim majority feel the Pass is a waste of money and not very good value for a normal length vacation visit. Too loaded w/ things like the London Dungeon and other tourist traps. But a substantial minority feels it is a good bargain. So do a search and make up your own mind.

You might consider buying tickets on the Big Red Bus tour. Hop on and off at almost all the locations you stated.

I just got back from London and was able to view the House of Commons and the House of Lords..as a US citizen....they only allow a few visitors at one time for security purposes...
