"These are usual cocker spaniels and the way they point you out is they come and sit down next to you and look at you with their big brown eyes."

Doesn't work.

That's exactly what I do when the Boss and I go to get the FT every morning. There's a cop station next to the paper place, and I've been trying to shop him for ages. Dumb fuzz just ignore me or ask me if I'd like a biscuit.

Useless, the people they get in the force these days. Us cockers are about the only brains they've got.

PS:

"Beagles are used for food here"

That's it. They're NEVER getting me to go to the States. If the American economy's in such a mess they're all eating beagles, when will they turn on even nicer species?

You could rent yourself out for hundreds of quid a day.

Get the old fellah to show you what drugs smell like (and don't let him fob you off - he went to university. He knows how to get hold of drugs).

Wrong.

That bloody ingrate (I see he's been on the spare laptop again. No M&S extra-mature cheddar for him tonight then). We spend more on his medical treatment in a year than we spend on ourselves in a decade.

And then he goes moaning about us to the world.

He'd better beware. I suspect Mrs F might have some ideas about this:

I once went in a taxi to Deptford...At a certain point the taxi driver said that this was as far as he went...That the area was a bit dodgy...Yes it had a history of being connected with crack houses, etc.,but I never saw any of this...I was going to visit a church that was all black,(if that does not sound racist).I am totally white myself ,but love the great worship at black churches...(I am a born-again Christian and I like to join in the great worship songs)..However,I never visited the area at night..I would say that I have never been attacked anywhere in London...That is after having been in virtually every part...

Back to the original topic. The inestimable diamondgeezer's blog has drawn my attention to this site, which will allow you to explore the geographical distribution of all sorts of London statistics:
