London, Paris, Rome, Istanbul temperatures today - why ?

I expect London to be much colder than the other 3 and I was told Rome is always warmer than Paris but a check with wunderground 30 minutes ago showed all 4 have more or less the same temperature of 19 to 21 C today on the high side, in fact Paris reached 22. Only their lowest showed a bigger difference but not much lower than 10.

I wonder if I need any sweater by next week ?

Yes, definitely a sweater and a coat/jacket too. All these places get quite chilly in the evenings, even if daytime temps are warm.

There is climate and there is weather. The climate for Rome is warmer, but the weather may not be. I bring an umbrella and a jacket as standard, just in case

Why would you expect London to be "much" (or at all) colder than Paris, ever? Have you not looked at a map?

And why would ANYONE expect average temperature differnces over a year (yes, London and Paris are, on average, cooler than Rome and Istanbul) to be reflected every single day?

At this moment in time (11am GMT + 1) the "tinternet" tells me that it's 12C in London, 20C in Paris and 21C in Rome.

Ok thanks. Yesterday I found all 4 having quite same temperature at their highest. While in Asia, I don't need a sweater anywhere between 10C to 20C.
Just wonder if a sweater will be redundant as it gets warmer from now.
If I don't need a sweater, I may just bring a cheap one and throw it away after mid-May if I no longer needs it rest of the trip.

Will I need a sweater at night in Central and Southern Europe after mid-May to June ?

Weather doesn't stick rigidly to averages......it depends, so no one can give you a definite answer
