London, Paris, Barcelona, too much?
 

Okay kids, is it feasible or advisable within a 2 week period to do this? Fly to Paris, spend 3 days. Train to London, spend 3 days. Return to Paris, spend the day. Fly to Barcelona, spend 3 days, then home to U.S. Or....should we just do 2 cities, such as Paris, London for the 2 weeks? I thought maybe a taste of 3 might be fun, but am I trying to take to large a bite?

If you like big, world-class cities this is doable. But why go back to Paris? Just fly from London to Barcelona - that extra day traveling back to Paris will make it seem a lot mor rushed.

with 14 days you could do 1 day traveling to Paris, 4 days in Paris, 4 or 5 days in London, and 3 or 4 days in Barcelona and 1 day traveling home.

(6 days in Paris and 6 days in London would also be a good choice - less frenetic. it depends on how much you want to visit Barcelona)

I've already asked you the same thing in your original post what JANIS is asking here, why are you insisting on doing a return to Paris from London? First, EuroStar is not cheap, a return trip for 2 will cost you somewhere between $300-500 for 2. Second you are wasting a day or 2 just for traveling. Third you could fly from Paris to London for next to nothing, and it's also cheaper to fly from London to Barcelona than it is from Paris to Barcelona(although it may be just a little difference).
I'm with JANIS on this one. Do 4 days in Paris, 4 days in London and 4 days in Barcelona. If you are just interested in the city of Barcelona, then 3 days would probably be enough, so you could have an extra day in Paris or London.

Hmmmm. Right you are. Did some checking and indeed the least expensive way to Barcelona is via London by air. AA, you made comment before in my earlier post concerning what you thought my flight rules are on these buddy passes. I was assured that I could fly to one more destination, (such as Las Vegas (the stop in Atlanta doesn't count), to say Paris, and then could fly to London and then home. However, I may have to rethink this per your suggestions. Perhaps we should simply do just Paris and London and expand our exploration to the surrounding areas. It's trippy to be able to choose anywhere as these are free (except for taxes) tickets. But we have never been to Europe, so we are choosing the typical tourist cities. It's a tough call. Thanks

Like I said, each airline has different rules for buddy passes, and since Delta will put you on a partner airline within Europe, then this is looking even better.
Fly to Paris - stay 4-5 days
Take the EuroStar one way to London - for the experience and also it's convinient, going from city center to city center - stay 4-5 days
Fly for free from London to Barcelona - stay for the rest of your vacation
Fly home from Barcelona.
It looks like a plan to me :-)

Sounds great AA! I like this plan! And thanks as well for the reference sites. I know there has been some criticism of those who wait practically until departure for suggestions so they can plan. Well let that never be said of me! Ha ha. We are planning this trip for next April or May! I figure by then I'll have studied and planned so much that we just might know what we are doing! Ha.
