London on Easter Sunday

I'm having a bear of a time trying to figure out what to do on Easter Sunday in London. I was thinking of doing the London Walks tour to Greenwich. Sound good? Any reasons you can think why this may not work out? Are pubs typically open on Easter Sunday? I'm wondering if we need to stock up some groceries so we don't starve that day ;)

Greenwich is lovely (I am biased as I work there) and if you have the weather you'll love it (go on the DLR from Bank to Greenwich Maritime).

Pubs will be open all day on Easter Sunday - and there are some cracking pubs in Greenwich.

As long as the pubs are open I think we may just survive!

Just about the only thing you can't do on Easter Sunday is to shop in large stores, as they are prohibited by law to open - but corner shops, small family-run shops etc will be open.

If you are still there on Easter Monday there is the Easter Parade in Battersea park. I haven't been for several centuries but it used to be good.

Uh-oh. Easter's in late March - meaning the weather could be gorgeously springlike or might suddenly give us a quick reminder of winter. That apart, Greenwich is a good idea, since there will be plenty of places to nip under cover if necessary and a glorious park to walk in if not. I would expect the covered market to be in full swing, and as Mr Cholmondeley-Warner says (and he should know) you'd be spoilt for choice of pubs and places to eat.

Pubs in Greenwich (I like the Richard I ).

There's only two really rubbish ones - Auctioneer and Clockhouse.

Reading the reviews on Fancyapint.com cracks me up. We tourists can really drive the rating down can't we?
