London Neighborhood - Coleherne Rd.

Thanks to everybody who responded to back about the Abingdon Rd location.

Also wanted to know if anybody knew about the neighborhood on Coleherne Rd. (off Old Brompton Rd.), Earls Court, SW10, near Kensington also?

thank-you,

Ed

Not as nice as Abingdon Road, in my view, unless things have changed a bit in the last 20 years or so. It's squeezed in between two arms of a one-way traffic system, which is likely still to make both it and the surrounding shopping and services that much less upmarket.

I totally agree w/ PatrickLondon. Coleherne Rd is in Earls Court/West Brompton and wouldn't be nearly as nice as Kensington. It isn't far from Earls Court tube station so convenient for transport - but I'd personally much prefer the Abingdon Rd. area.

It used to be a very gay area.

I have no idea if it still is.

Not noticeably more than most other parts of London nowadays, I believe.
