London mini cab pickup at Heathrow

Understand it is better to book a mini cab than take a black cab from Heathrow to our hotel. Do they charge more to pick us up in the terminal, and do we pay parking and waiting time too. Any suggestions on companies would be helpful. Thanks.

www.justairports.com is often recommended on this forum, so is Ray Skinner. Check their rates online, the last time I used a car service I'd checked with both these companies, the former charged for parking at LHR the later didn't.

They will wait for you inside the terminal just as you exit arrivals. Some charge for parking, some fold it into their rates. Comes out about the same either way.

Ray Skinner's website is http://www.london-transfers.com/

I'd get a quote from both Justairports and Ray Skinner. Sometimes one is cheaper, sometimes the other depending on your exact requirements/destination. Both are reliable.

I used just airports and was not charged for parking a few months ago. They are good for Heathrow, being cheaper than the HEX but more expensive for Gatwick

"<i>. . . but more expensive for Gatwick</i>"

But since a car service from Gatwick hardly ever makes sense, that isn't a big deal. LGW is twice as far from London and a train and it is a looooooong drive. A train usually makes much more sense from LGW, but not from LHR.

Isn't that what I said?
