London Luxury Weekend
I'll be going to London for a long weekend to meet my 21y/o daughter end of April. She's been travelling quite a bit and appropriately staying on friends couches and hostels etc. And I've just spent three months in work choas. So I'd like to treat us to some luxury. I'd love to be centrally located but more importantly would be a great spa, comfortable rooms and room service! I'm not a huge "old world charm" fan. And while I realize we'll be in merry old England I'd rather be a sell out to modern convinces. Any thoughts??

I put London hotels with Spas into booking.com and the nicest I came up with is the Montcalm, just round the corner from Hyde Park and Oxford Street:

I've not stayed there but the food is lovely.

How about Brown's on Albermarle Street? It is a 5 Star Hotel centrally located in Mayfair. It opened its doors in 1837 but has been refurbished and is now quite contemporary with modern conveniences plus a Spa.

$600 is about £410 so you can get very nice but not 'Luxury 5 star'
For a weekend at the end of April the Hamyard for instance will run from £426 ($620-ish) for the standard room (called superior) to £650+ ($950-ish) for a junior suite
Brown's is just a little higher.

The Beaumont has rooms from 392 pounds. It's a lovely hotel, beautiful bar, and I see they have a spa too. Great location in Mayfair. It's what I would book for a stay with my 21-year old daughter.
I would also look at The Edition; it has a gorgeous restaurant (Berners Tavern) and cool bar. Don't know about a spa, but there are lots of very nice day spa's in London.

The Edition is very expensive, depending on which dates the OP wants to go. I love Berners Tavern, (it needs prebooking as it's very popular) and the whole interior of the Edition. It's been beautifully restored. Sanderson is close by and not so pricey.
