London lodging for 3 adults
We will be in London June 30 - July 4, parents with 18 year old, staying in one room. Arriving via Eurostar (St. Pancras) departing via train to Holyhead (Euston Station). First time to London, so will be visiting many major attractions. Can anyone suggest reasonable (hopefully in the $150 range) centrally located lodgings? Also, can you suggest best areas in which to stay?

Book a family room at a Travelodge.
www.travelodge.co.uk
Looking at the website at London travelodges, there are rooms for your dates from 66GBP a night.
These are cheap'n'cheerful rooms, with clean linens and a large comfortable bed for 2. The 3rd person sleeps on the large sofa in the room. The bathrooms are perhaps a bit tired in appearance but you get plenty of towels.
But if your expectations are not too high, then Travelodges are great places to stay.

Just to add, depending on the hotel, room price varies by the night - Fridays and Saturdays are always more expensive, but some of the Travelodges have rooms for the Sunday and Monday nights from just £35 GBP.
Regarding location, most of them are pretty central. Look at the prices, and those that are most expensive on Fridays and Saturdays will be those considered to be best located, though I'd not worry too much about that but go for one reasonably close to an Underground station for easy access. Bear in mind that when the website states city centre, they are talking about the City, the business district.
IMO the Covent Garden and Farringdon TLs are best located. Also Kings Cross, Southwark and Waterloo aren't too bad.

Also be careful to check the nightly rate BEFORE booking the Travelodge.
If you block book for your dates you might well end up paying more than if you book the nights separately. This is a quirk in the website!
I've had to book 3 separate nights in July to get the lowest rate (saving about 30 pounds). I called the hotel and there will be NO requirement to check out/check in repeatedly during the stay.

Thank you, these hotels sound perfect, but I can't find triples in any of them for our time frame.
They don't call them "triples" - what you want is a "family room" as Julia said. The 3rd bed is a fold-out sofa-bed. Basic but cheap.

I did a quick check and the Waterloo Travelodge is available on June 30th for 90 pounds per night.
It's possible that the hotel may be fully booked for one or two nights during your stay..
Consider a split stay between 2 hotels if that's the case.
