London - Leeds

Hi, During my vacation to London this coming August I plan on taking a side trip to Leeds. I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheap, quick, and easy way to get from London to Leeds. I have limited knowledge of the rail and other systems. All suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.........

Which Leeds were you planning to visit? The one in Kent with the castle, or the West Yorkshire city? They're about 230 miles apart, but both easily reachable by train.

Like Robespierre has said, it is important to know which place you mean. Alot of visitors do actually mean Leeds Castle when they just say "Leeds", however it isn't uncommon for posters to actually mean Leeds city in Yorkshire.

For Leeds in Yorkshire, the best way is to get the train from either St Pancras (Midlland Mainline) or Kings Cross (GNER)

Thanks everyone! Sorry for the confusion, that would be the Leeds in West Yorkshire.

Thanks again........benoilers
