London - Le Meridien or Rubens?
 

Out of these two hotels, which would you pick and why

Le Meridien Piccadilly or Rubens at the Palace. Both are offering us the same rate for a room that will accommodate 4 people

Le Meridien has a deluxe room with 2 queen beds. Rubens has an executive suite with a king bed and a double sofa bed

If everything else about the hotels was roughly equal, I would go for the hotel that offers two real beds rather than one bed and one sofabed. I've never slept in a sofabed that was as comfortable as a good quality regular bed, no matter how good the sofabed was supposed to be.
The Meridien's location is very central with plenty of sights nearby. Which means it's also quite busy, but a great spot for Tube and bus connections.

I have stayed at the Ruebens and love the hotel but I would probably opt for the 2 queen beds. The staff at the Ruebens is very friendly and helpful and the location is great for getting to and from the airport

I'd go for Le Meridien. Location could't be better!

Le Meridien, the location is far more central, and in my opinion (and I haven't stayed at either) will provide better service, and certainly has more pleasant public areas.

I'd go for Le Meridian; the location is better, the rooms are nice (I have stayed there) and you will presumably have access to Champneys health club in the basement which is lovely.

If you don't have breakfast included in the Le Meridian room rate, you can go to the cafe in Waterstones Piccadilly (across the street) or Pret a Manger (two minutes walk on the same side of Piccadilly) for a fraction of the price of Le Meridien.

Breakfast is not included but I have written to the hotel directly to see if they will add it for no additional charge. I see that many people who get this through priceline have breakfast included
