A bus ride AND a little walking combined would be a good use of your valuable time. After an overnight flight you will ready and needy of an hour or so walk,,,IF you are fit.(helps with jet lag,as does the sun,,,which probably won't be shining in Dec,) Even if the weather is a little chilly it's still fun in London, and very atmospheric....for not too long a time. (you will burn up in the stores however, as I remember on our 3 trips to London in December.) Maybe things have changed by now!
Have a great and full Dec. Trip! |
"<i>Do you face a long queue on a sunny day?</i>"
No captharry: Windsor is another option as mentioned. It is more than 5-10 minutes from LHR. It is only about 7 miles - but generally 7 very congested miles. So allow a bit more time to get there/back. BTW - NONE of these decisions need to be made now. Nothing requires pre-booking. So just have your plan A and plan B -- and maybe a plan C. And then on the day decide based on how you feel, how your Dad is, what the weather is like, if you land on time, etc etc . . . . |

And costs for two or three for tickets to the Eye?
If having options in one's pocket is advisable, captharry might find this useful: http://tinyurl.com/6mqrd9 |
