London it is!

So finally I have shifted to London. Central London. Need to know so much about this place. Last time when I visited it was for a very short time of period. But now I have the full time to explore the city before joining my work. Friends can you suggest me great entertainment places, restaurants that I can visit. Last time I was on a hunt of beast steak in the city. Suggest me now what?

When will you be there?

Interests?

What kind of restaurant? Indian? Chinese? American? Thai? Seafood?

sofarsogood Oct 28th, 2015 04:14 AM

beast steak, is this a euphemism? Soho has some of the more interesting clubs. :-)

Tulips Oct 28th, 2015 06:14 AM

I would go and see Joe Stilgoe at Ronnie Scotts, December 4 and 5.

Londontown.com

Be specific - you're asking about entertainment venues and restos (with no specification as to price point or cuisine) in a city of 8,000,000+. Do your own homework too.

"beast steak"........ Definitely sounds a bit dodgey to me.:-)

Beast steak, like roast beast, is usually served with Who pudding.

BigRuss Oct 28th, 2015 01:09 PM

Don't forget the cans of Who hash.

lol, my friend used to babysit him!

Annhig; we saw him in High Society; amazing. Talented and funny guy. He's doing a Christmas show at Ronnie Scotts. I'm not in London that weekend, but would love to see that.

sparkchaser: I am already here. I love to party and hangout with friends. But a not a very loud place. And i just want to try the best restaurants here. Specifically, Thai & Seafood. yum!

sofarsogood: Hey that's a very interesting link you shared with me. Very helpful. Travel, food, music is so much fun when and specially you are new in the city. Cheers!

Hey Tulips,

You helped me in my previous trip also. Thanks :)
And this time Joe Stilgoe at Ronnie Scotts... Getting ready for the Christmas? :)

Hooameye: Oops. That was a typo. An honest mistake. What i meant was best steak. :)

Hey welltraveledbrit. Nice blogs and information. Thank you sharing such interesting links with me. So much more to see London is just perfect. I can actually explore a lot according to my interest.
Thanks a ton!

And a very entertaining typo it was! :-)

Glad the blog was useful and hope you enjoy the roast beast ;)

Why not try for something more traditional like the best roast beef and yorkshire pudding Sunday lunch at a gastro pub. I can highly recommend the The Pig and Butcher in Islington http://www.thepigandbutcher.co.uk but perhaps someone else can give you somewhere right in the center of town.

The only Stilgoe I have seen perform is his dad, who occasionally could be prevailed upon to do a turn at village events when he wasn't engaged elsewhere. He used to do a great act where he made up a song based on suggestions from the audience - hilarious if you weren't part of the act that was going to be going on after him, very hard to follow if you were.
