London in 2 Days- Restaurants and area info needed- help?

We are staying at the Park Plaza for a few days this next month. Is the hotel OK? What are the best things to walk to around here? Restaurants? Any info would be much appreciated- thanks!

That's a pretty central location - you're close to Westminster, the SouthBank etc...loads to see within walking distance, especially on the south side of the river between Waterloo and London Bridge (about a 20 minute walk)...

The area's OK, a bit quiet perhaps. One of the neighbours is the Archbishop of Canterbury, so you'll have to make your own estimate of the chances of raucous late-night behaviour.

As to places to eat, it's not over-supplied if memory serves. There may be some small places in the streets behind, but I think you may be dependent on the hotel's own restaurant or eating out on the other side of the river.

You'll likely be using buses more than the tube.

Riverbank Park Plaza is quite a long ways from Borough Market or Vinopolis.

It is south of Lambeth Palace and almost to Vauxhall Bridge Rd. Directly across the river from Tate Britain.

I doubt you be eating much in the immediate area since all the sites are some distance away.

Not difficult, but not particularly easy/convenient tube connections. Mainly Vauxhall to Victoria, Green Park or Oxford Circus and change to other lines from those.

That hotel is pretty isolated restaurant-wise.
But there is a glimmer of hope:
Only a mere 5 minutes (if that) walk away there is the best, if not only, place in London to indulge into decent lagers brewed according to proper purity laws. A local pub by the name of Zeitgeist at the Jolly Gardener has a vast selection of German lagers, wheat beers and obscenities such as Koelsch on tap. It's on Black Prince Road - and who would not want to come to London and drink German beers?!
