London - How crowded in early June?

I leave for London Memorial Day weekend. How crowded will London and towns like York be that first week in June?

No more or less crowded than usual (London is ALWAYS crowded). But on the good side, the schools don't break up for summer til mid-late June, so you'll miss the worst.

Monday 30 May is a public holiday in England and Wales, and that week is a mid-term holiday for most schools, so tourist places will be busy. Attractions that appeal to families with children will be more crowded than normal.

Thanks. I was curious because I've only been in December. The only place with a line for tickets, etc. was the Tower of London. Everywhere else was a breeze. I didn't know the secret of buying tickets at the Tower Hill Tube stop!

Hahaha! Have to laugh! London is a nightmare generally, it is ALWAYS crowded! If you arrive over the bank holiday weekend then you'll probably find it quieter than usual as most Londoners escape (sensibly) but other that that June is no different to November.... It's still great though!

Hi
The first week in June is half term week so it WILL be more crowded than normal, especially child-orientated places. The schools break for summer mid JULY (not June).
