LONDON Hotels...suggestions

My husband, daughter, age 21 and myself will be visiting LONDON in August for 3 days. (we are on our way to Germany to visit relatives) Please suggest hotels with rooms that have BATHROOMS, clean beds and that are central to most Tourist Sites and/or near "a tube" station. THANK YOU!

There are probaby around 5000 hotels that match your description.

Why don't you do some of your own research. When you find few places that look interesting and fit the bill, come back and ask for opinions.

I meant around 1000.

In addition to what AAFrequentFlyer suggests, re-post your question once you've determined which area in London you wish to stay and how much you are willing to pay. Good luck!

Hi
Yes, providing information on what you want to spend per night helps narrow down the thousands of choices--really, "clean" should be a given anywhere. By 'BATHROOMS', you mean private ones?

If you want a budget place, with no elevator or a/c, but a place that's clean and pleasant and that provides cooked breakfast, use the little Search this Forum box above and type in
Arosfa. I stayed there this past Jan.
good location.

Or do some browsing at londontown.com, many suggestions in all prices and locations.

Another poster here recently reported renting an apartment from these people

www.theapartments.co.uk

They paid GBP 115 + VAT/night but for a 2 bedroom & 2 bath apt with a kitchen! Not sure if you can do it for just 3 nights but it would be worth checking. Their apt was on Draycott Place 2 blocks from the Sloane Square underground.

Another website to check is londonnights.com

Also useful to specify if you mean BATHroom or SHOWERroom. It's one of those English/American things

London is easy to get around via the Tube. So you want to be near a Tube stop. You might start by clicking on the Fodors hotel list. Also try Traveladvisor.com -- lots of user reviews and other web links to hotels. There's loads of info on the net.

I meant tripadvisor.com not traveladvisor.com

I just booked the County Hall Travel Inn for my family of 4 for the middle of July for 81 GBP/night.

Very centrally located, good reviews. More of a standard hotel, not a quaint B&B. Depends on the experience you are looking for.
