London Hotels reasonable located
We'll be in London 3 days and we would be well located close to restaurants, bars, shopping etc .. and not some fancy but comfortable hotel.reasonably well located
. They suggested this: Ibis London Earls Court Premier Inn Aldgate Holiday Inn Kings Cross Someone can give us a reference or suggest any. Our budget would be in 175/200 per night. We know that London is not cheap... Many thanks friends |
175 or 200 what? £, $?
How many of you? ANYwhere in central London will be close to restaurants, pubs, shopping, and tube stations/bus routes. None of those are in 'bad' locations, but I personally would want to be more central.. |
Hi Janisj
Thanks for answering. I spoke to about 200 US dollars but if there is anything you can suggest it worth I could make the effort to spend some more. And of the three mentioned there is one that is more convenient than the others two ? Perhaps the Kings Cross? Again ... thank you very much |
Hi Pamlover, a budget in dollars is not really helpful - I don't keep up with the exchange rates.
But La Suite West, in W2, is an amazing hotel at amazing prices, sometimes as low as 112 pounds/night. Much better location than either Kings Cross or Earls Court. |
Don't like any of your three locations. Don't love Bayswater either because you're going to be on the Tube a lot more from there than you would from Kings X when touring. Tulips assumes you know WTH "w2" means, but a google check shows the location.
Go to Londontown.com and check its interactive hotel map for your dates. It may list in GBP, so just add 50% to the number and you have your dollar figure. Who the heck is "they" who made the hotel suggestions? |
Londontown is good, or booking.com (which will list in $)
I'd look in these areas for budget accommodation that are in convenient neighborhoods: South Kensington (not Kensington), Victoria, and Russell Square/Bloomsbury. There are TONS of other good areas but these three do have a fair number of reasonably priced hotels and really good transport connections. |
Thanks all of you friends. You are the best!!
