London Hotels Covent Garden, Notting Hill
Hello, My husband and I will be spending 10 nights in London in May. We have train trips planned that will arrive and/or depart from Euston, Paddington and St. Pancras stations so thought Covent Garden would be a good location. We enjoyed staying at the Montague on the Gardens Hotel 10 years ago but prefer to keep the rate closer to $300-350US (£215-250) including breakfast. And we need a queen or king-sized bed for that many nights
An apartment could be usefull for a long stay but the flat we rented in Notting Hill on our last trip is no longer offered by One Fine Stay. We are considering The Apex Temple Court Hotel and Bloomsbury Hotel, both of which are highly rated on Trip Advisor.
Please let us know if we are missing any good hotels in our price range. Thank you.

I can only tell you that we stayed at the Apex Temple Court and loved it. We have also stayed at the Apex Tower Hill and liked it very much too.
I will be happy to answer any specific questions about the hotel.

Hi Scootoir, which Onefinestay flat in Notting Hill was that? They have plenty of others in the area! If you like Notting Hill, there's a new boutique hotel just off Notting Hill Gate called the Laslett.

WE've stayed at the Apex Temple Court and here's my review,
http://www.somuchmoretosee.com/2013/...urt-hotel.html
IT isn't a residential area but we found it worked well for the theatre, particularly the National and Covent Garden and it was a large room for the price, so that was good. I would consider it again if I could get a good rate. But generally I'd pay a bit more for Flemings in Mayfair, but I find the rates so variable that it always depends on what I find for the particular dates we are looking at.
For a ten day stay my preference would be for a more residential neighborhood so I'd look at Marlybone, Kensington, Cromwell Road etc. which all have a number of boutique hotels in that price range. Here are some places I've considered...
10 Manchester Street, The Ampersand and The Nadler.

The One Fine Stay flat was called Artesian Road. It needed to have the sofa replaced but the bedroom and bathroom were very nice.
We liked the residential feel of the neighborhood as well as the many restaurants not far away. We also met some of our neighbors in the building who were very welcoming.

Artesian Road is a nice area. We have a flat that we let through Onefinestay nearby, but it's a two bedroom. They have a few in Kensington Church Street, just the other side of Notting Hill Gate, that's a nice location too.

Thanks Tulips, will keep this in mind for a future trip. We ended up booking the Thistle Holborn The Kingsley Hotel. We contacted them directly and received a better offer than they offered online since we will be there so many nights.
