London Hotels - Anyone know The Judd in Bloomsbury?
Does anyone have any experience of this hotel? I'm going to be in London for two days in May and am looking for a nice but not insanely expensive hotel near the Euston train station and also access to the Picadilly line (for easy access to Heathrow on my last day). So somewhere between Euston, Russell Square and/or Kings Cross station might work. I prefer a place with internet access for my laptop that can be relied upon. My preferred budget is under $200 per night for two nights.

I've never heard of this hotel, but it gets good reviews on tripadvisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...n_England.html

The rack rate is a bit above your budget, but perhaps can arrange a deal. I used Expedia.

I recently spent alot of time looking for a hotel in that price range - not sure if this is in the location you are looking for but The Amsterdam seemed decent (I have not stayed there, looked at Tripadvisor). Also The Sanctuary is a bit above your price point but also looked nice. Good luck! London hotels seem quite high - the 20% VAT is wicked.

You might also want to look at the Millennium Bailey Hotel in Kensington -we thought it very nice. It is directly across the road from the Gloucester tube station which is a hub of sorts. From there you can go directly to Heathrow or to central London. The hotel is in walking distance to the Victoria and Albert Museum as well as the Natural History Museum.
The rack rate for May is a bit above your budget but I am sure you can do much better than that - we did at the same time of year.

Trying to book a hotel for October in Bloomsbury. With info from this site and TA, we had settled on the Morgan, only to find that it is sold out.
To the OP, did you stay at the Judd? Did you like it?
We have been looking on the londontown site as well, Peace, but we are flying a bit blind. We stayed at the Russell the last time we were in London but we are looking for a more price-conscious place this time and DH does not feel comfortable trying to use Priceline.

We stayed once at the Hyde Park Radnor B&B, which is very near Hyde Park and in a nice little neighborhood with restaurants and residences. A few blocks up the street is Paddington Station. It was a nice enough place and a good price. Found it on Londontown. But it isn't the neighborhood you want, sounds like.

To Socialworker: I didn't use The Judd in the end. Stayed at:
THE ACADEMY
21 Gower Street
London, WC1E 6HG
United Kingdom

Nice and clean, but a bit of a longer walk from the Tube and train than I had anticipated. Perfectly located if what you want is to visit the British Museum!
