London Hotels

We are 3 educators who will be spending 4 nights in London beginning Feb.1 and we are looking for a reasonable hotel. Does anyone have information on the Derby Hotel or Orchard Hotel. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

pam
how much do you want to spend each night? Do you want one room for all of you?

We don't mind staying in one room and would like to spend around $100 per night per room.

Check out the London Elizabeth Hotel (http://www.londonelizabethhotel.co.uk).

Click on "Offers & Breaks" for a great deal...they are giving 20% discounts through March, plus they will let you pay in American dollars when you check out ($1 = 1 BP)!

Rates include the 17.5% tax and breakfast.

ps - Fodors raves about this hotel.

An excellent website for shopping for London hotels is www.hotel-assist.com. They break it down for you by catergories, plus have monthly specials.

Hi Pam...I strongly suggest you try a London hotel website called Smoothhound...it's broken down into neighborhoods and you can see photographs of the property and its rooms...you can also link to a map of the area the hotel is in...great prices, too.

Go to the Hilton.com site or call them. They are having a special called UK Breaks. You have to ask for this promotion. I booked it for a week at the Hilton Paddington in March. They are charging $137 including VAT, breakfast both days and dinner on the 1st night. You have to book in 2 night increments. There are only a certain number of rooms available for each hotel at this promotion.
