London Hotel/B&B Abbey House or Vicarage
My husband, two teens and I will be in london in November. We will be staying at the County Hall for the first 4 nights and want to stay in another location for the last 4 nights before heading for Paris.
With 4 people, the rates are really high. We'll have to get 2 rooms.
It looks like the B&B's are a good choice.
I first picked The Main House - booked.
I have e-mailed the Barclay-This would be my first choice if they have space
I e-mailed The Abbey House - on Fodors it has a good review. On tripadvisor it has really really bad reviews. Has anyone stayed there lately. The good reviews are in 2004-bad in 2005????
E-mailed The Vicarage. - Reviews look good.
What is the location like.
I would like to keep the per night cost to $300 max
Thanks

A couple of comments -- I personally wouldn't cahnge hotels just to get into a different part of London. Eeverywhere is totally accessible from everywhere else -- so unless the rates at County Hall (You don't say whether it is the Marriott or the Travel Inn) are too high, I don't see an advantage in moving.
But mainly -- for 8 days w/ 4 people, I'd never stay in a hotel at all. You can get a very nice 1 bedroom (w/ sofa bed in the living room) or even a two bedroom apartment for £600 to £1000 a week -- and sometimes even less. Even if you got a posh £1000 property that would only be aboy $250 a night for 2 bedrooms, bath, kitchen, livingroom and more. A ton more space and nicer than any 2 budget B&B rooms and for a good deal less money . . . . .

meant to add - to compare what your might be able to get:
I know of one really elegant 2 story penthouse w/ 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, two terraces with patio furniture, full kitchen w/ washer/dryer, a short walk from a tube station, the River and Tate Britain -- all for about £1200 per week -- that is only just barely above your $300 limit for about 1100 square feet . . . .
