London - Hotel suggestions (reviews)

My 13 yr. old son and I are going to London in March. I am looking to spend around $150.00 a night. A central location is very important. So many choices... Thank you.

Theresa:

You may get a better response if you pick a short-list of 2 or 3 hotels, then re-post with the hotel names (as well as the city) in your subject line. For example, "Choosing Between 'Hotel A' and 'Hotel B' In London"

Hope this helps.

When looking through your books or on the web check out Tophams Belgravia on Ebury Court. It's located very close to Victoria Station (walking distance). We found it to be a nice clean hotel with a wonderful restaurant.

My husband and I were in London several years ago. We stayed at Sir Edward Lear's house. It was inexpensive, near a metro line. It was clean and the staff friendly. The rooms just missed being charming.

I highly recommend Winrose Hotel, sussex gardens. Excellently located, with an excellent breakfast and not at all expensive.
